Interview with Sweet Joma: "Greefa's precision marked a turning point."

At CIAGRI, we like to share real stories with companies that work every day to improve the agri-food sector. On this occasion, we interviewed Joseph and Paul, responsible for Sweet Joma, a Murcian company committed to efficient production, sustainable growth, and technology applied to the countryside.

We spoke with them about their experience with our Greefa machinery and how they've optimized their fruit sorting and packaging processes thanks to the technology and technical support of our team.

Tell us briefly about Sweet Joma's activities.

In Sweet Joma we cultivate Paraguayan, peach, nectarine and apricot on our farms. In addition to our own production, we also We market fruits from other producers and we offer packaging service to different cooperatives. We strive to provide a comprehensive service, tailored to each campaign.

Why did you decide to collaborate with CIAGRI – GREEFA?

We opted for Ciagri for the good references that we had. We knew that Greefa is the leading brand in calipers and that gave us a lot of confidence. But in addition, the closeness and attention from the very first moment.

How do you assess the business relationship with Ciagri after all these years?

Sincerely, we are very satisfied. All Ciagri staff are incredibly professional and approachableThey are always available for any emergency, Monday through Friday, at any time. Their positive attitude and willingness make working with them very easy.

What advantages has Greefa machinery brought to your daily work?

Before purchasing our first Greefa calibrating machine, we had worked with other brands. Although we didn't have any major problems, when we installed Greefa we noticed a clear improvement, especially in the Paraguayan and small fruit calibration. The weighing system piece by piece avoids errors, such as counting two small fruits as one. This has led to a improvement in tailoring and a significant savings on poorly sized fruit.

Would you recommend Greefa to other producers?

Without a doubt. We highly recommend working with Greefa and with CiagriExperience supports this.

What would you highlight about Ciagri's technical service?

His professionalism, closeness and speed of responseThey're always willing to help, whether it's with technical issues related to the calibrator or any other need that arises at the plant. For us, having a team like this is essential during the season.

What differences have you noticed between Greefa and other brands of calibrators?

He Greefa calibration system, as we mentioned before, is what we highlight the most. We used to work with cup graders, but we had a lot of problems with double fruit and returns due to poor grading. Greefa also uses top quality materials, which translates into a much longer lifespan.

What are your goals for 2025?

We bought our first Greefa in 2019 and this year we have installed the second calibratorOur goal is to continue growing, improve the working conditions of our workers, offer more fruit and better service to our customers, help our farmer partners grow with us, and support the cooperatives we work with, especially during peak production periods.

If everything goes well, in a couple of years we would like to expand our facilities with a third Greefa.
